Design builds relationships . . . between designer and client, client and audience, between type and image, between black and white. It is listening. It is service with integrity. It is the science where problem and solution meet creativity. It is the art
of knowing what not to say. It is the joy
of making connections through words, images, typography, color, and hard work.
My years of award-winning design,
writing, and consulting have taught me
that wisdom comes from your best and worst experiences, that every day is an opportunity to learn something new, and that design is an expression of relationship.
I was born in Iceland, raised in the U.S., and now live in Baltimore, Maryland, with my husband, Dan, our children, Everly and Jake, and our dog, Atticus.
